Monday back on the boards as a lot of the weekenders had gone home but it was still a little busier than I expected. The forecast had been for cloud but warmer which is pretty much the first day they have got it wrong, it was actually quite sunny but the wind chill made it quite cold on the lift but not nice when skiing. We skied quite a few runs before I needed to go in and warm up, it was nice to ski with the aid of gravity rather than having to propel ourselves along. We stopped for an early lunch then carried on but we stayed on peak 9 as the runs were really nice and didn’t cut up too much so we carried on until the knees said enough was enough so we packed up for the day and went back for a relax before heading out for something to eat. Tuesday under mostly sunny skies today we managed to ski three out of five mountains which although we didn’t ski quite as far as yesterday it was slightly harder skiing. We did a few runs on peak 9 then set off for peak 7 via peak 8 as we had intended to do a couple of runs in 7 but the lift line was so long we ended up getting the gondola back to peak 8 and stopping for an early lunch. After lunch we did a few more runs on 8 then started heading back to 9 where we spent the rest of the afternoon or rather as long as our knees could stand! Wednesday today is normally the quietest day of the week, but either the Americans are finally getting into skiing or the people that used to come up only at weekends are all now retired and therefore can now ski during the week because it seems quite busy although it probably isn’t that busy compared to European resorts. We set off this morning under clear blue skies and actually took the camera with us so we can have a look at how we look on the alpine boards. Unfortunately the forecast is for snow for the rest of the week and by the afternoon the clouds had started to come in causing the light to go very flat. All the same we had a great day, skiing peak 9, 8 and we visited 7 but didn’t stay as the lift was really busy again, we will probably stay on 10, 9 and 8 from now on.
