We set the alarm a bit earlier today as our train to Oslo left at 8.15.:Chris was having one of these “I am in a town so have lost my sense of direction “ moments which meant we got to the station a little early. The good news is that we had brought butties for the journey so we started on them and watched everyone else that seemed to think they had to be there early arrive. We left on time and the first part of the journey was around Trondheim which was nice as we got to see the bit along the river then we started the journey through the middle of the country. The scenery was a little better than the journey from Oslo to Bergen as we spent most of it in the countryside. We went through Lillihammer although we couldn’t see the ski jump or any of the buildings that were used in the olympics but we did see what look like a few ski resorts on route. It is very nice traveling in ‘Comfort’ class as you have coffee as well as quite a lot of room and because of the seats we picked we had a massive window to look watch the world go by from. We arrived in Oslo just after 3pm and by the time we had walked round to the hotel and sorted everything out we decided to just relax before heading out for a drink later as tomorrow we will finish exploring Oslo.
